The Rain oil building was designed with great consideration for its context as a residential neighborhood in Lagos. The client wanted the building to blend in with its surroundings, so traditional commercial office cues were intentionally omitted. This approach gives the building the appearance of a two-winged apartment block, seamlessly fitting into the neighborhood. The atrium is the centerpiece of the building and features an abstract sculpture that drops three floors, symbolizing the continuity of the company.
This sculpture is a visual representation of the Rain oil logo, cascading in waves that appear to flow through time and space. The skylight above the atrium softly diffuses sunlight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the building.
